When Are We Going To Disney World?: The Best and Worst Times To Go

WELCOME BACK!

We're talking dates!
I'm talking the slowest and busiest times at The Happiest Place On Earth!
So, let's go over a couple of things that are, in my opinion, common knowledge!

  • Magic Kingdom is usually the busiest park overall. This is because they have a lot of things going on through the year, whether it's MNSSHP & MVMCP (Halloween and Christmas party) or their 24 hour events they have started doing through the year.
  • Animal Kingdom is the park with the least amount of operating hours. This makes the park attendance obviously shorter, but as a rule the park is usually busiest in the mornings and mid afternoon.
  • EPCOT has higher attendance through the year during the parks festivals. Food & Wine, Flower & Garden, and several other newer additions to the park. There are busier days during the week, just because of the natural way people visit the parks.
  • Hollywood Studios is very steady through the week, and usually has busier attendance through their special weekends (Star Wars Weekend, Soaps Weekend, American Idol Specials). Higher attendance in the summer make it an active part of anyone's vacation.
MouseLover, when should I go?
Well, funny you should ask. Literally, this next section is the fluctuation seen in the parks day to day. After that, I'll post about the months and then give you an idea as to when I love to go!
L - LIGHT, AVE - AVERAGE, ^AVE - ABOVE AVERAGE, C - CROWDED
  • MAGIC KINGDOM (MK): MON - L, TUE - C, WED - AVE, THU - AVE, FRI ^AVE, SAT - C*, SUN - C*
  • DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM (DAK): MON - L, TUE - ^AVE, WED -
    ^AVE, THU - ^AVE, FRI - AVE, SAT - L*, SUN - L*
  • EPCOT (EP): MON - L, TUE - AVE, WED - ^AVE, THU - AVE, FRI - ^AVE, SAT - L*, SUN - L*
  • DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS (DHS): MON - ^ AVE, TUE - AVE, WED - AVE, THU - ^ AVE, FRI - AVE, SAT - ^AVE*, SUN - ^AVE*
* INDICATES THAT THESE DATES WILL FLUCTUATE THROUGH THE YEAR DUE TO SPECIAL EVENTS, WEEKENDS, AND OTHER SPECIAL THINGS FOR DISNEY GUESTS.

And what about monthly?
The busy months are as follows:
President's Week (3rd week in February)
Spring Break Weeks (Mid March to Mid April)
Memorial Day Week (Last week in May)
Summer Break (Mid June to Mid August)
Thanksgiving Weeks (Week before, of, and after)
Christmas Weeks (Day before Christmas up until New Years Eve)
Gay Days (http://www.gaydays.com) (I LOVE GOING DURING GAY DAYS)
The slow months are as follows:
Beginning of January to Mid February (This is the best time, I believe, to go!)
Fall (Mid August to Late October)
Weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas (This is when the Disneyaddicts go. It's the holy grail of Disney slow times. You may even get to see some of the Castle lights before Christmas!)

QOTD: WHAT IS YOUR DREAM DATES AND VACATION OPTIONS?
I love going in February. First week of the month. 6 nights, 7 days at All Star Movies. 5 day park hopper. Tuesday through Tuesday.
TUE - ARRIVAL/POOL/WISHES ON THE BEACH OF THE POLYNESIAN WITH A DOLEWHIP IN HAND DAY,
WED - DHS,
THU - MAGIC KINGDOM,
FRI - DAK,
SAT - AK,
SUN - PARKS AND PARADES WE MISSED THROUGH THE WEEK,
MON - PACKING/DOWNTOWN DISNEY AREA.
Thank you so much for reading my tips. PLEASE, if you're going soon, let me know what your plans are! I'd love to hear from you!
If you have any suggestions on what to write on, please don't hesitate to let me know what you want to read about!

Planning The Best Disney Vacaion: New to blogging, NOT to The Mouse!

You want to plan an amazing vacation to The Happiest Place On Earth, but you don't want to break the bank, am I right?

YOU'VE FOUND THE RIGHT PLACE!

I am the Frugal Mouse Lover! I'm here to guide you through planning your ultimate dream vacation on a budget with some awesome advice that has anything to do with The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. From dining in any of the 4 parks, Downtown Disney, and any of the 24 incredible resorts; to making sure you make the most of your trip with guests of any age!
I'll tell you a bit about myself, and my connection to The Mouse.

I'm in my mid-twenties, and I'm an ex cast member of the greatest place on earth. I'm located in Ohio, and don't get to visit as often as I would love, but I've kept up with my favorite place through guides, websites and books.  Not to mention a couple of people in my family go several times a year (their upcoming trip is a 4 day Bahamian cruise). I'm a coupon lover,  and have learned to save money through the incredible availability of coupons in my area!
On this site,  expect to learn a couple of behind the scenes things,  and to learn different ways to stretch your dollar at The World.

QOTD: WHAT IS YOUR REASON FOR VISITING DISNEY
I love visiting Disney because of the atmosphere. I got to experience working for this great company by completing the Walt Disney World College Program in Spring 2010 from January 11th - May 15th.  I learned everything I could about the way they business operates from how the company decides where to put interns (jobs, costuming, pay scales...) to how the character performers put on the most incredible parades, to how the pyrotechnic group puts together the highest rated fireworks show in Orlando -- Illuminations, Reflections of Earth. I'm also looking forward to taking my family to the World for the first time. Can't wait to get planning started!!! ...Well let's be honest, I've planned this trip through and through over 100 times...

Thank you so much for stopping by,  see you real soon!
